After an intensive workout, the goal should be to recover what you lost during the exercise period. This also means helping your body recover from the soreness and muscle stretching that you have done during the last hour or so. Luckily, there are a variety of post workout supplements out in the market that help you get back on track.
1. Post workout protein. You need to take in more protein after a workout so that your body absorbs it and make more muscle mass in between regular workout sessions. You must take in protein that is easily digestible, like protein shakes, so that not a lot of time is needed for it to be absorbed by your body.
